Aims: 12 Multi Disciplinary Team participants working in all Health Care Settings 

Teach staff reflective skills to support them to engage with patients and family members who may be experiencing significant distress.

Time: 9.00 – 4.30

Methods:

Create an environment where participants feel safe and unjudged in using the following skills:

Grounding – Connection with self and connection with others.

Reflective skills –  repeating, paraphrasing, summarising, learnt through the medium of participation and observation of role play

Self-reflection –  learning how I sit with someone in distress.
