Your support allows us to continually improve our Specialised Palliative Care facilities and services, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients and their families. As the needs of our community evolve, so do we. With people living longer and experiencing more complex healthcare needs, we must continue to develop and make care more accessible, within our local communities.
Service Developments
Our Multi-Disciplinary Ambulatory Palliative Clinic in Limerick now operates weekly, giving patients and families access to a full team of specialists in one visit. This coordinated approach improves access to care and allows us to better support individual patient care needs, whether through information, advice or personalised care planning.
We recently opened our new refurbished base in Newcastle West, strengthening our support hub for patients across West Limerick.
Looking Ahead
We continue to expand in our community-based services and locations:
- Ennis: Installation of new electric vehicle charger units for our Home Care Team.
- Nenagh: Identifying and allocating more space to provide services locally.
- Thurles: This base has been re-organised to increase capacity and accessibility.
Enhancing The Centre
Your donation helps us to:
- Deliver more patient-centred care through improved resources and evidence-based practice.
- Strengthen both Older Person’s and Specialist Palliative Care services.
- Invest in specialised education programs such as Palliative Simulation Training.
Our Green Team is actively working to:
- Reduce plastic use and manage waste responsibly.
- Protect and enhance our gardens and natural resources.
- Promoting well-being for patients, staff and wider community.
